My Words Concerning About Human Rights

Dear President Duterte,

I am so grateful to have a chance to send you a letter that expresses my love for you. How are you, Sir? I hope you are a healthy and well. We would like to thank you because there have been many changes and progress during your administration. We also admire you because you’re doing your best just to make the Philippines a better place.

In particular, we encourage you to protect and promote the human rights of everyone in the country. With your election victory, you and the government have an opportunity and the responsibility to focus on the issue of human rights, issue about use of illegal drugs, terrorism in the Philippines and many more. Human rights is very important to us because it protects us against abusive people and to those who are more powerful. There are often reports of human rights violation from across the world. Such complaints include the torture of prisoners and the mistreatment of their people in various ways. We all know that torture is the most criticized and widely recognize form of human rights violations. There are many human rights violation are violated because of the war on drugs. You stated that you advocate for human rights yet you agree that death penalty should be implemented. I know that it’s hard to stop this problem but violence is not the solution.. As a Filipino I don't want to see that the human rights of my fellow Filipinos are violated so I want you to concentrate on this issue because I  think protecting the human rights of everyone will make the Philippines a better and safer place for everyone. Try to educate all the Filipinos about human rights because it will help to protect them, empower them and enable them to become more responsible and active citizens of the country. It must be very difficult, especially at your age, to lead a country with more than hundred million people but I know you can do it. Please remember all your promises that you have spoken before you took the oath to lead our country. We expected better from you. We continued to trust and respect you because we believe that you can make a big change to the country.

I know you’re a good and responsible President. I believe in you and I will always do. For me you are the best president even if there are many times, I disagree with you. I will pray for you that you will have wisdom as you make decisions. I wish as well pray that God give you more strength because Philippines need you. I hope that you will finish your term with pride and honor for the betterment of the Philippines. And that would be all, Mr. President. I hope you’re having a nice day.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         Respectfully yours,

  Kent V. Madriaga

  6. Yes, violation of human rights should be terminated like the the extra-judicial killings that have caused deaths. But on the other hand, you still support the President despite of his shortcomings. I really admire the way you wrote your vlog in a respectful manner.
