Resiliency: A Key To More Developed Philippines

Recovering easily from a tough moment than before rather than giving a room for failure and not giving up easily is one of the best characteristics of us Filipinos. Being resilient not only helps us to get through difficulties, it also empowers us to grow and improve our life. Filipinos are known to have a strong personality in times of difficulties we experience. In the Philippines we experience many weather disturbances and this is common to us. We Filipinos learn to embrace this uncontrollable occurrence. The smile of every Filipino despite living in a country with often natural disasters, terrorism, and many more makes us stronger every day. Filipinos make this difficulties in life as an inspiration to make an improvement to their self and to become more determined than never. But now that we are facing a global pandemic, how can we easily recover from this? What ways or steps we need to do towards a more resilient Philippines?

In order to have a more resilient Philippines the number one thing we need to do is to prepare.  Preparedness of a country is important because at any time, at any place bad things might happen. This preparedness reduces the impact of disasters and sometimes avoid the danger completely. Second is we need the bayanihan spirit. Helping one another without expecting anything in return makes our task and responsibilities much easier. Third is the quick response of the government. It is a quite a challenge to the government to respond quickly to this kind of crisis but I know that their doing their best. Government should use the funds wisely, they must not use it for useless projects instead use it for the betterment of the country and the people. Fourth is having unity in a country. I believe that this unity can improve the resilience of our country, this unity is like a building blocks toward a more successful Philippines. Standing strong through thick and thin is a trait that we must practice. Fifth is caring for one another. It is important to care for one another because this makes our world a pleasant place to live. Showing care to someone makes us happy. Sixth is to be aware on what is happening. We should be aware on what is happening around the world so that our country will not be left behind. This awareness will save us from danger that’s why this is important.

I believe that this steps will improve the resilience of our country. It is important to improve the resilience of a country to lessen the impact of a disasters, calamity and many more. We Filipinos need also to cooperate for the betterment of the country, we need also to contribute to make Philippines more resilient. Don’t give up easily instead make yourself stronger and bolder.
