Every year on February 14th, people honor their love for one another by spending time together, sending flowers and sharing Valentine’s messages of love. Valentine’s Day is the day of giving joy and offering love to others. Oftentimes we tend to think that this holiday is just for romantic relationships, but that’s not completely true. This holiday gives us an opportunity to show our appreciation and admiration to our loved once. Showing love for others should never be expressed only on this holiday or one day out of a year. Everyone should know that it takes more than just one day to love a person.

Love of all kind is beautiful and thus, needs to celebrate. It is very important to celebrate the day of love because it is day which teaches us how we should express our love, care and respect for anyone who is important in our life. It helps us to gain positive vibes and feel happy about our loved once. It shows us the importance of the joy or the happiness we feel when we are around the ones who matter to us. It helps us to discover the universal feelings and emotions which represent love.

Celebration of Valentine’s Day changes as time goes by. Towards the end of the 19th century the significance of the occasion underwent a change. People started celebrating Valentine’s Day to express love and affection towards all those who made their lives more than special. Celebration of Valentine’s till the 29th century was only limited to romantic couples who courted their lovers exchanged love letters or poems.

Today Valentine’s Day is now considered as a celebration of all human relationship. It became popular especially amongst the young millennial. Young lovers make well-organized plans to celebrate this holiday. Those without lovers desperately seek dates with a view to celebrate Valentine’s Day in a romantic manner. Lovers holding hands and celebrating this holiday is a common sight in parks and restaurants. Special Valentine’s Day parties are also organized by many hotels and discotheques. Some people also choose to go to romantic gateways for celebrating this day quietly with their loved ones.

This year’s celebration of Valentine’s Day underwent a change again because of the ongoing Corona Virus pandemic. Many of us could be missing fancy dinner dates or trips to the movie theatres this year. But it’s more important than ever that we do our pat and stay at home. COVID-19 Valentine’s day is not actually that bad. In fact, it may actually be more special That is because this pandemic era holiday reminds us through thick and thin, strong relationships can withstand many hardships including a global pandemic.

Celebrating Valentine’s Day long distance amid a pandemic is very hard for some people but by having positive mindset can help others to cope with these circumstances we are experiencing. Show and offer love to other people, appreciate the love that they give to us, and learn how to be a good companions and support systems. That is worthy of celebration.
